Set proposed terrain
The proposed terrain is the landform the project is asking for – and everything in the earthworks result, volume totals included, is measured against it. A selection that drifts outside the intended scope or omits an area inflates or hides the real cost, so this is where the study either becomes defensible or stops being trustworthy.
The proposed terrain must cover the comparison area. Partial or accidental selections produce misleading volume and area figures.
